Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 31, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SnapATax.com and related services ("SnapATax," "Service," "we," "our," or "us"). By using SnapATax, you agree to these Terms.
What SnapATax Does
SnapATax helps users upload receipts, extract expense information, review expense records, save tax-related data, and export or sync records to supported services such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.
Not Tax, Legal, or Accounting Advice
SnapATax is a software tool. It does not provide tax, legal, accounting, financial, or professional advice. Receipt extraction, categorization, deductible calculations, business-meal adjustments, tip calculations, and exports are provided for convenience only. You are responsible for reviewing all information and consulting a qualified tax, legal, or accounting professional before filing taxes or making financial decisions.
Your Account
You may need an account to use SnapATax. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to use SnapATax only for lawful purposes.
Your Content
You retain ownership of receipts, files, expense data, notes, and other content you upload or enter into SnapATax ("Your Content"). You grant SnapATax permission to process, store, analyze, display, export, and sync Your Content as needed to provide the Service. You represent that you have the right to upload and process Your Content.
Receipt Extraction and Accuracy
SnapATax may use automated OCR and document-processing tools to extract receipt data. Automated extraction may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking merchant names, dates, totals, categories, deductible amounts, notes, and exports before using them for bookkeeping, tax preparation, reimbursement, or any other purpose.
Google Drive, OneDrive, and Third-Party Services
If you connect Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or another third-party service, you authorize SnapATax to access that service within the permissions you grant. SnapATax is designed to use limited access to create and manage SnapATax-created files and folders, such as exports inside a SnapATax folder. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. SnapATax is not responsible for outages, changes, data loss, or errors caused by third-party services.
Data Backups
SnapATax may store receipt files and expense records, but you remain responsible for keeping your own backups of important tax and accounting records. Exports and sync features are convenience tools and are not guaranteed to replace your own recordkeeping obligations.
Paid Features
SnapATax offers optional paid subscription plans. Current pricing, plan limits, billing frequency, renewal terms, and any introductory offer are displayed before purchase.
Eligible first-time subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the selected plan automatically converts to a paid subscription and renews until canceled. You can cancel through the billing provider used for the purchase, including Stripe or Google Play. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively remove charges already incurred, except where required by law or stated otherwise at checkout.
Service Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of SnapATax at any time. We may also add, remove, or change features, integrations, limits, and supported export formats.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create security risk, or if required by law. You may stop using SnapATax at any time.
Disclaimers
SnapATax is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate. We do not guarantee that extracted receipt data, deductible calculations, categories, exports, or synced files are correct or accepted by any tax authority, accountant, employer, or financial institution.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapATax will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, tax penalties, filing errors, or business losses arising from your use of the Service.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SnapATax from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on SnapATax.com with a revised Last Updated date.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SnapATax for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity; upload malicious files or content; access another user's account or data; interfere with SnapATax's systems, security, or availability; reverse engineer, scrape, abuse, or overload the Service; or upload content you do not have the right to process.
